Eustreptospondyl us Eustreptospondylus is an extinct genus of carnivorous theropod dinosaur from the Middle Jurassic period. It was a member of the Megalosauridae family and was the first dinosaur discovered in England. Its fossils were found in the Stonesfield Slate Formation of Oxfordshire in the early 19th century. Eustreptospondylus was a large predator, measuring up to 6 meters (20 feet) in length. It had a long, low skull, with large, curved teeth for slicing and tearing flesh. Its body was muscular and well-adapted for running and hunting.
