Ruths Story 1 Ruth was a Moabite woman living in the land of Moab. She was married to a man named Mahlon, and they had two sons. When Mahlon died, Ruth was left alone with her two sons. She decided to leave Moab and travel to Bethlehem, the home of her late husband"s family. When she arrived in Bethlehem, she was welcomed by her late husband"s mother, Naomi. Naomi was a widow and was living in poverty. Ruth decided to stay with Naomi and care for her. Ruth worked hard to provide for Naomi and her two sons. She worked in the fields, gathering grain and other food for her family. One day, Ruth was working in the fields when she met a wealthy landowner named Boaz. Boaz was impressed with Ruth"s hard work and kindness and decided to help her. He allowed her to gather grain from his fields and even gave her extra food to take home. Ruth and Boaz eventually fell in love and were married. Together, they had a son named Obed, who was the grandfather of King David. Ruth"s story is an example of God"s faithfulness and love. Despite her circumstances, Ruth was able to find love and security in a foreign land. Her story is a reminder that God is always with us, even in the most difficult times.
