Qusair Amra Jordan Qusair Amra is a castle located in the east of Jordan, about 88 km east of Amman. It is one of the most important examples of early Islamic art and architecture. The castle is a popular tourist attraction in Jordan, and is listed as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. The castle is believed to have been built in the 8th century by the Umayyad caliph, Hisham ibn Abd al-Malik. The castle is notable for its well-preserved frescoes, which depict hunting and battle scenes, as well as ancient Greek gods and goddesses.
