Utahraptor Utahraptor is a genus of theropod dinosaur that lived in North America during the Early Cretaceous period, approximately 125 million years ago. It was one of the largest dromaeosaurids, with an estimated length of up to 7 meters (23 ft) and weight of up to 1,000 kg (2,200 lb). Its skull was similar in size and shape to that of the closely related Deinonychus, but it had more robust jaws and teeth. It had a relatively long, low skull and large eyes. Its body was covered in feathers, and its forelimbs were proportionally longer than those of other dromaeosaurids.
