The Darkness 2 6 The Darkness II is a first-person shooter video game developed by Digital Extremes and published by 2K Games. It is the sequel to 2007"s The Darkness, and was released for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 on February 7, 2012. The game is based on the comic book series of the same name. The game follows the story of Jackie Estacado, the current bearer of The Darkness, an ancient demonic force of chaos and destruction. The game features both single-player and multiplayer modes. In the single-player campaign, the player controls Jackie as he fights both the forces of The Darkness and the forces of the Brotherhood, a mysterious organization that seeks to take control of The Darkness for their own purposes. In the multiplayer mode, the player can choose to play as either Jackie or one of four unique characters, each with their own set of abilities and weapons.
