It was released by THQ on September 20, 2004 in North America and on September 24 in Europe. The game is set in the Warhammer 40,000 universe, a dystopian vision of the far future. Players can command one of four races: the Space Marines, the Orks, the Eldar, or the Chaos Space Marines. Each race has its own unique strengths and weaknesses, and players must use their race"s specific abilities to defeat their enemies.
