Warhammer 40000 Dawn of War II - Retribution 1 "Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War II - Retribution" is the second expansion pack to the real-time strategy computer game "Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War II". It was developed by Relic Entertainment and published by THQ, and released in March 2011. In "Retribution", players have the option to control any of the six available factions in the Warhammer 40,000 universe - the Space Marines, Orks, Eldar, Tyranids, Imperial Guard, and Chaos. This is a departure from the original game and its first expansion, "Chaos Rising", where players could only control the Space Marines. The game"s campaign can be played either solo or cooperatively with a friend, and is set on the war-torn planet of Aurelia, where a civil war has erupted between the Imperial Guard and the Blood Ravens, a chapter of the Space Marines. "Retribution" also features new units for each faction, as well as new multiplayer maps and a revised leveling system. It received generally positive reviews from critics, who praised its varied campaign and deep strategy gameplay, although some felt that it didn"t do enough to differentiate itself from its predecessors.
