Sergius of Radonezh the Wonderworker Sergius of Radonezh (1314–1392) was a Russian monk and saint who founded the Trinity Monastery in the 14th century. He is known as a wonderworker, having performed numerous miracles throughout his life. He is venerated as a patron saint of Russia and is credited with bringing the country back from the brink of destruction. He is also remembered for his charitable works, including founding orphanages and hospitals, and for his spiritual guidance.
