Holy Blessed Prince Boris -Mikhail of Tver Prince Boris-Mikhail of Tver (Russian: Борис-Михаил Тверской) was the Grand Prince of Tver from 1317 to 1327. He was the son of Prince Michael of Tver and the grandson of Grand Prince Yaroslav III of Tver. He is remembered as a holy blessed prince in the Russian Orthodox Church. Boris-Mikhail was known for his piety and good works. He was a patron of the arts and built several churches in Tver. He also founded the Borisoglebsky Monastery in 1317, which is still standing today. He was also a great military leader, leading Tver to victory in several battles against its enemies. Boris-Mikhail was assassinated in 1327, and his death was mourned throughout Russia. He was canonized by the Russian Orthodox Church in 1547 and is remembered as a holy blessed prince. His feast day is celebrated on October 4.
