Belle de jour- movie 3 Belle de Jour is a 1967 French drama film directed by Luis Buñuel and starring Catherine Deneuve, Jean Sorel, and Michel Piccoli. The film follows a young housewife who spends her afternoons as a prostitute while her husband is at work. The film was a box office success and won the prestigious Grand Prix at the Cannes Film Festival. It is widely considered to be one of Buñuel"s greatest works and one of the greatest films of the 1960s.
